Dead terrorist

Thanks to Dad for sending me this picture.

According to rumor, the wolf had been terrorizing campers near Salmon, Alaska.

Bear Hunting in California

Thanks to Elizabeth for calling my attention to this one.

It will be interesting to see by how many the bear kill increases.

Mercury in Tuna

Complicated and depressing.

If I read this correctly, I should eat more shellfish, sardines, salmon, freshwater trout, and marine perch.

The New Deli Food

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/14/dining/14deli.html?pagewanted=1&th&emc=th

High quality hand-crafted food.

Further proof that I should start a new food blog.

Having a combined food/wildlife blog is absurd.

This article mentions Zingerman's in Ann Arbor, MI.

Why don't we have a deli like that in Hales Corners?

Goldfish & turtle

Today, we walked by the 'Mike Weber' pond on Grange Ave. west of 108th Street.

( I have no idea what the legal designation of the detention pond is, but until I learn its real name, it will be the 'Mike Weber' pond in honor of the current village administrator).

We saw numerous schools of goldfish in the pond (dozens if not hundreds in total).

We also saw a small turtle, not sure what species but definitely not a snapping turtle.
