Turkey Vultures

Last night we attended the Wisconsin Metro Audubon Society meeting at Wehr Nature Center.

Naturalist Lisa Hartman and Wildlife Ecologist Mike Mossman talked about turkey vultures.

Lisa Hartman brought her own live turkey vulture, rescued from a car accident in Michigan 13 years ago.

She said that being hit by vehicles while scavenging road kills was the number one cause of death for turkey vultures.
